This is part one of my introduction to Nuke expressions. Expressions in Nuke are really powerful and should be part of every compositor’s skillset, but they can be intimidating for beginners. Using expressions can really speed up your compositing workflow. They can allow you to work faster, build more flexible scripts, and create more complex effects than you could if you were working manually. With this series I hope to introduce you to using expressions in Nuke with some really simple, but useful examples. In this video I will show you: * How to use expressions to link two knobs together so that one will automatically update to match another. * How to find out the name of a knob, so that you can use it in an expression. * How to modify the data in a knob before you use it. * How to combine data from several sources.
